National Council of Jewish Women
Tikkun Olam--Hebrew for "Repairing the World"

"I am an observant Jewish woman and my family has shunned me. I spoke up when my husband abused me in the sanctity of our home. Now, I am a woman who must put back the grocery items while in line at the supermarket. I am a woman that cannot pay synagogue dues. I am a woman who lives with a friend because I cannot afford a roof over my head."As one of six NCJW Sections participating in the Women's Fund of New Jersey, we are a founding member of the Rachel Coalition. NCJW is able to funnel money from the Women's Fund, through the Rachel Coalition, to this and other abused women, regardless of their faith.

Your generosity helps the National Council of Jewish Women repair a small corner of our world:

-$50 will provide emergency financial relief for victims of domestic abuse ---

-$100 will provide individual and group counseling for victims and their children

-$200 funds programs and educational materials for the entire Jewish and non-Jewish community so that friends and family members are able to provide appropriate responses when a victim turns to them for help

-$300 helps train Rabbis and all religious leaders about domestic abuse
