South Jersey Breast Cancer Coalition
When Lisa was diagnosed with breast cancer to survive her ordeal while caring for her children and trying to work she had to downsize her life.
Lisa has two sons, ages 8 and 4. She was just making ends met. There was no safety net. Lisa cutback on many expenses, Yet, the needs of her family were not met. How was she going to provide for her children?
Lisa first contacted SJBC through her oncologist's office. She needed a security deposit for moving into a less costly apartment, help with an outstanding phone bill and support services for her children. SJBC also adopted the family for the holidays shopping like little elves to fulfill their wish list. SJBC felt blessed that they were able to touch the lives of this deserving family.
